Jeremy Buta

Whatsup I’m Jeremy…Jeremy Buta. I am currently a junior and this is my first year at Hoover. I transferred from Serra High School and looking for a new school experience. I was born in San Diego May 30th, 2001. I come from a foreign Jewish family of four; my mother, my siblings and myself being the middle child. During my spare time, I like to surf and skateboard which I’ve been doing for quite a while now. I am really into surfing & skating because both are really energetic and fun. Along with that, I am also a guitar player and photographer. I really like being in tune with nature and exploring new places that bring along new experiences. Many of my friends know me as being very social when it comes to new people. People I’ve known for a while describe me as reliable and a good source for positive energy. You will always see a smile on my face due to my optimistic mindset. Every new experience is an adventure waiting to change you.

In my past, I must admit I have hurt a lot of people and went against old friends. I was very selfish and immature which ended in people starting to hate me. I am beyond grateful for the experiences and lessons I have gained since then which have helped me to change my personality completely and open my eyes to being a better version of me that respects other beliefs and people. Thinking back on those days, I realized how something can just fly by so quick and change everything in perspective. I want to apologize to everybody who I have hurt in the past. I truly regret all my behavior and want everybody to know me as friendly and that if they come across me on campus to not hesitate to say “Hi!”
