Luis Chino

My name is Luis Chino and I’m senior here at Hoover High. Throughout my life, I have always had the struggle of always being compared to my sister. At first, she was a great scholar, and I had to keep up with her. However, she recently dropped out of UCI and that has had a negative effect on me. Since then, my parent’s have been very protective towards me, hoping I don’t follow in the same footsteps when I eventually go to college. In this, I have grown to learn that negative opinions aren’t a definition of me and it shouldn’t has a definitive impact on me or my future. This molds me into the confident man I am today and prevents me from second-guessing myself. I build myself upon the morals of effectiveness. The process of doing what needs to be done instead of waiting. I believes actions speak louder than words, therefore I am always the first to take action in making a change.
