Marenda Thach
Hi, my name is Marenda Thach. I am a freshman here at Hoover. When I first came to Hoover, I wasn’t scared or nervous at all. I tried out for volleyball over the summer and made new friends, also I already knew some people because my sister, Brenda, graduated from Hoover in 2017.
I was born in San Diego. I have an older sister, Brenda, and a younger half-brother, Aiden. I was born because my parents didn’t want my sister to be lonely. Once my step-mom and dad had my little brother, I hated him. I still do sometimes, but what siblings don’t. Family is a factor in my life that has shaped me to be the person I am today.
My biggest struggle right now is badminton conditioning and being committed to actually join badminton in the spring. This is a struggle for me because I am a very lazy person and it’s a lot of work.
A time I took a risk was following this cute guy on instagram because you know. Something that makes me the person I am today, besides my family, are my friends and food. I tried to be vegan for two weeks, but ended up giving up after four days.
