Japheth Rodriguez
Hello, my name is Japheth Rodriguez and I am currently a junior at Hoover High School. I am the type of person who made many achievements such as being a helper in an ELD class by helping students learn to speak English and I am appointed secretary of the chamber orchestra.
A big influence for me is my English teacher, Mr. Ta, who is also a badminton coach. In the classroom, he always finds a way to get his students to think for themselves and come to a conclusion. As a coach, he is very encouraging and he strives to push the players to their full potential, always keeping in mind their circumstances. He is a great example of a kind and serene man who weighs his actions carefully and knows what he’s doing. He also taught me to push past my mental boundaries in order to achieve my goals and that is how I overcome some obstacles. With this in mind, I have been able to improve my understanding of the content addressed in his class and I have progressed significantly in badminton.
My future goals are to become president of chamber orchestra, be appointed to the chamber choir leadership committee and make it into badminton lineup. After all the hard and tiring day, I would like to relax by playing video games, playing badminton, and watching anime.
