Ana Valdez
I come from a Hispanic family who immigrated from Tijuana, Baja California in search of a better future as any typical family would. Both my parents have always wanted the best for my four sisters and I which of course comes with plenty of sacrifices. Crossing the border on a daily basis was one of many challenges my family and I encountered yet the most beneficial.
We lived with a variety of family members until we got back on our feet; after moving to San Diego we eventually bought a home; one we could call our own. Besides our living situation, other challenges we have encountered are various illnesses and deaths within our families. These illnesses have not always had positive outcomes, yet have brought my family and I even closer together as well as has become my drive in life to pursue a career in the medical field aiding to those in need.
