Leslie Osuna

My name is Leslie Osuna and my few years at hoover have been very good to me. I was raised in San Diego my whole life. I have a little sister, Giselle, and a lot of people say that we both look very similar and act the same way. My favorite subject has to be math because there are many ways you could solve a problem and it’s the most fun.  

In the future I want to pursue the medical field and become a dermatologist. I have always wanted to become a dermatologist ever since I met with one. During my childhood I’ve always had to deal with my acne problem. My acne really did have an effect on how I viewed myself. When I started meeting with my dermatologist, we formed a strong relationship. She explained to me what caused my acne problem and she informed me on what measures I take in order to treat it.

Ever since this happened to me I became more empowered to help other kids who are going through what I went through during my childhood. Besides my career goals I’m also involved in sports as well. Even though I only started playing softball my sophomore year of high school I’ve been playing since I was nine years old. I met new friends by just playing this sport and those new friendships are both on and off the field.  I’m just really excited about what the future has in store for me. I believe no matter what happens to me later on there’s always a reason for everything in life.
