There’s always that one Asian guy in most movies that comes out of nowhere and steals the spotlight from the film. In the Hangover Trilogy, the tv show Community, and also some childrens films like Turbo and Despicable Me 2, they all had one actor in common, Ken Jeong.

Jeong is an Asian-American actor who was born on July 13, 1969, in Detroit, Michigan, but he was raised in Greensboro, North Carolina and went to Walter Hines Page High. He then graduated from Duke University in 1990 and 1995 obtained his MD at the Chapel Hill School of Medicine at the University of North Carolina.

Jeong then began acting after winning the Big Easy Laff-Off in 1995, knowing that he wanted to pursue a career in acting instead of practicing medicine. Jeong became engaged to Tran Ho, a Vietnamese-American, a family physician, and a breast cancer survivor, in 2003. He then had two twins, Zooey and Alexa Jeong, in 2007. Ever since 1995, Ken Jeong has starred in at least 32 films and his career still continues till this day.
