Shakira was born on February 2, 1977, and is a very well-known Colombian singer, actress, and dancer who performs incredible songs like “La Bicicleta” and “Loca” for the world to hear. She is in many movies and is a host on the television show,“The Voice.”

Shakira is one of a select group of Latin musicians who have crossed over into a global market.  Shakira always wanted to start a career of making songs and singing. She is mainly famous for her belly dancing. Shakira became more successful with both her Spanish and English songs. In 2014, Shakira became the first musical act to perform three times at the FIFA World Cup.

Shakira has also created one called Pies Descalzos Foundation, a Colombian charity with special schools for poor children all around Colombia. On April 3, 2006, Shakira was honored at a United Nations ceremony for creating the Pies Descalzos Foundation.  She is a Unicef Goodwill Ambassador and currently resides in Barcelona, Spain, with her family.
