Malachi Torres is a senior at Hoover High School and is part of the class of 2025.
Malachi is a very social and friendly person who will talk to anyone. He is an only child and it is only his mother and him at home. Living alone with his mom isn’t really a bother to him at all because he loves being with his mom. It’s a household filled with love and laughs. His mom is from Guatemala.
Malachi spends his free time either playing games with his friends, or even just being at home and listening to music. Malachi’s friends are what make him happy because they provide a welcoming and loving environment around him. They always seem to know how to make him laugh and he loves creating special moments with them.
Malachi is trumpet player who is a part of concert band, jazz band and is the Drum Major for Hoover’s 2024 Marching Band. He has had a passion for music for a long time now. He’s always wanted to be part of a band ever since he was in middle school and it’s what drove him to join band in the first place. He hopes to become a great musician. He chose to be Drum Major because he’s always wanted to take on a leadership role as he thinks it would be a great experience for him and he likes the fact that he gets to meet new people and make new friends along the way.
Malachi’s plans after highschool are to go into a four year university. He plans to major in electrical engineering or music. He plans to get his bachelor’s degree and get a job after college. He also hopes to continue playing music.
Malachi says that he enjoys being at Hoover because he’s had such a great experience. He’s loved everything he’s ever been a part of and he’s thankful for everyone he’s met through his time at Hoover and he loves the memories he’s made here at Hoover. Those are memories that he wouldn’t change for the world.
