Luz Ocampo is a senior at Hoover High School.
Luz has participated in the food market that takes place at Hoover High School. The food market is an organization where Hoover receives food then that food gets distributed to all over the school. Luz helped in distributing the food to classes but not only that, she also organizes the various snacks into bins so that every teacher gets an equal amount of snacks. In her fourth period class with Ms. Hohenstein, she has the opportunity to mentor freshmen. Luz also participates in ROTC where she is the company commander.
The significance of Cardinal Pride to Luz Ocampo is to help others and to show respect to everyone. The ways that she shows Cardinal Pride is by respecting everyone and if anyone needs help she always makes time to help them. Luz’s goals are to become a neonatal nurse where she would typically spend time with newborn babies mainly in their first month. Luz enjoys spending time taking care of babies because she feels the need to protect the new generations. Luz enjoys spending her free time reading books, mainly poetry books. The most important people in her life are her family who she adores very much.
