Grupo Codiciado is a music band and the main lead singer is Erick Aragón.
Aragón was born on February 19, 1993, in Tijuana, Mexico, in Baja California. Aragón is the most known one in the band and has a massive fan base around himself. He first started in 2015 when he co-founded Grupo Codiciado and launched their first debut album Si Lo Digo Es Por Que Puedo, which ended up getting them the recognition they wanted and went on to make more huge hits.
Grupo Codiciado has received numerous praises for their work, reflecting their growing influence in the genre. They have been recognized at prestigious award shows, celebrating not just their musical talent but also their contributions to the cultural landscape of Mexican music. This recognition is well deserved as their hits consistently chart on streaming platforms, proving their massive growth.
One of the many things that makes Grupo Codiciado unique is that they make music by telling stories in them. Their lyrics often talk about love, life struggles, and cultural pride, which I and many other people find relatable and allows me to connect with the music in some way. I started listening to Grupo Codiciado because of my dad, and he would always play their music when we were in the car, at parties, or home. But he would listen to Codiciado because he felt connected with the lyrics and how they talk about growing up in Tijuana, Baja California which is also where my dad grew up.
I personally really liked the song “Bipolar” by Codiciado because it talks about being stuck in love not knowing what to do and feeling alone which in some way, I can relate to what they are singing about. Grupo Codiciado is more than a band to me, it’s about telling stories that many people like me can relate to.
