Mental health can play a big part in who we become or why we are the way we are. It’s not always understood and heard. Mental health is important and it is something that deserves more attention.
People battling mental health deserve to feel heard and understood, and they shouldn’t have to hide their feelings or bottle up their problems nor should they feel like a burden to open up. Every year, there are hundreds and thousands of people who take their lives due to poor mental health. This plays a part in adults, teens, and young kids. Those people never felt heard or understood, and they bottled up their problems, or hid themselves away because in our society, many people could care less. Mental health was never taken so seriously. There can be so many signs thrown out, nobody would notice. Nobody would notice until they’re left wondering, “Why didn’t I notice the signs?” “Why didn’t they speak up?”
Not only does mental health affect relationships, school, sleep quality, suicide rates, and more, it tends to be difficult to get through the days or even do the simplest things. It’s not because they’re lazy, but they quite literally just can’t. There should be more people to care and to understand, what’s making them this way? What’s stopping them from going about their everyday lives? How are they actually feeling? Are they actually okay? These questions are never thought of, or are never asked. People see and assume which doesn’t do any help to the person. The way people see and treat people because of the way they are not knowing what’s going on in their life not only affects them more negatively but it can cause a person to move deeper in depression. The more this cycle repeats, the more likely they are to attempt suicide.
