Elizabeth Arguelles is a junior during the 2024-2025 school year here at Hoover High School.
Her goal at Hoover these past few years is to graduate in white. She has been on top of her classes and aiming for A’s. She wakes up early and manages her time wisely to make it to school on time. With this academic motivation, she is dreaming of attending UC Berkeley, but also planning on staying local and attending schools like SDSU.
Her strategies to deal with academic conflict are to organize them and make a list to do them before the due date. The more she does it, the more she finds the joy and the solutions to fix the issues she had before. By doing so she has prolonged her success. Her long term goal is to continue her education, have a good future and overall make a difference at Hoover High School. She loves hands-on subjects evolving things like reading books, coloring, video games, crafty projects. painting, and even music. She is also a very talented student playing multiple instruments including piano, cello, and the trombone.
Her favorite subject is math, with her ongoing teacher Mr. Nathaniel, who awarded her an award called “Super Star Student.” Math has always been one of her passions which led her to lean more towards careers in STEM. Her goal is to craft things to benefit everyone.
The experiences she has had gave her clarity for her future and her goals, and her sister Melissa and her boyfriend push her toward those goals. They have always been there for her to watch her succeed and triumph.
