On February 9, Lisa Frankenstie was released in the United States by Focus features. The movie Lisa Frankenstine, is a horror rom-con inspired by Mary Shelley’s classic gothic novel Frankenstein. Overall the film received mixed reviews and perspectives from critics and grossed $9.9 million against a production budget of $13 million.
Diablo Cody wrote the script for the film, and she announced the film collaboration with Mason Novick in June 2022. Zelda Williams made her feature-length debut as the director of the film, which was revealed to be starring cast were revealed in August 2022, around the time production began filming in New Orleans. The whole project was expected to run until September.
I personally would recommend this movie if you like 1980s pop culture references and some cheesy dialogues. The actors do a phenomenal job in the roles in this movie. I love rewatching this particular movie because of the dark romance that it includes. The whole movie revolves around a misunderstood teenager and a reanimated Victorian corpse, on a dark murderous journey together to find love, empathy and happiness, with a few missing pieces.
Hindered with similarities to 80s cult classics. The movie has some aspects that may be erratic for some people, so putting a warning out there.The coming of age movie has some parts that wouldn’t be recommended for people under the age of thirteen, hence the movie is PG-13.
