I’m not sure if I have a favorite movie but there is a movie I can watch many times without getting bored or tired of it, and that’s Ratatouille.

I really like this movie because it has to do with food and it’s what made me want to be a chef. For the longest time of my life, I really wanted to be a chef all because of this movie. I also just really love animation movies and it is very well thought out. It’s a very vibrant and colorful movie and the songs are so cute and they make me feel like I’m in France.

The movie takes place in Paris with my favorite characters, Colette and Remy along with all the other characters, but those two are my favorite. Colette is the female chef in that movie, and the only female chef. I like her because she’s strong and independent. There’s a scene in the movie where she says “Look around, how many women do you see in this kitchen? One! You know why that is? I earned my place and I worked hard to get here.” She’s so strong minded and independent. Remy is the main character in that movie who is a rat who loves to cook but would obviously never be accepted into society because he’s a rat.

Remy finds a book of a past famous chef named Gusteau titled “Anyone Can Cook” and it inspires him to at least try and cook. So, he goes to a restaurant and tries to cook but gets caught and then meets a guy named Linguini who wants a job in that restaurant but can’t cook. Remy makes an agreement to teach Linguini to cook and obviously he agrees because it gives him a chance to get to cook.

Overall, this movie is such a cute and calming movie that I really do enjoy and can watch anytime without getting tired of it. I recommend this movie to people who love animation and for people who are trying to watch a movie with their family, especially children.  Every once in a while, we need a movie like this to just enjoy.
