Jose Garcia is a Hoover High School senior and in the Rock Band class, where he plays electric guitar.

His hobbies are feeding his stray cats, playing acoustic guitar, and drawing occasionally. He only has one sibling who is an older sister. He has played on stage at the Battle of The Bands performance at Hoover and he found it fun and challenging to play in front of an audience. He listens to hard rock/metal bands like Alter Bridge and Trivium. But on special occasions, he listens to Jeff Buckley. He loves being in rock band because it’s given him the opportunity to play guitar more often.

He’s always been inconsistent with practice, but it’s forced him to stay consistent with practicing and learning songs he’s never thought he would learn and it also has given him the chance to work with others and give him the feeling of what it could be like being in a band. He believes that working with other people in Rock Band has allowed him to be more open with ideas and learning genres that he doesn’t usually bother with playing.

His GPA is 3.92 and he thinks there’s a good chance he will end the year off with a 4.0, something he’d never thought he would get. He believes that he is kind and friendly to other people. He tries his best to be a supportive and caring friend even though he is not the best at expressing it but he believes that it is worth trying whenever someone needs support.
