With the season of love, the following list of movies feature some unconventional love stories. I offer you a brief synopsis and where you can stream it. Enjoy and Happy Valentine’s Day!

Titanic– A man from the wrong side of the tracks and a woman of high status fall in love aboard the unsinkable ship. Paramount Plus, Disney Plus, Amazon Prime Video.

Juno– An unplanned pregnancy leaves teens with heavy decisions of what to do next as they seek comfort and love from each other. Apple TV, Amazon Prime Video.

10 things I hate about you – After her parents say she can’t date till her older sister gets a boyfriend, Biana plans to set her sister up with the new guy. Disney Plus, Apple TV.

Bones and All– The story of two lost cannibals who find each other through difficult paths and fall in love. Peacock, Apple TV, Amazon Prime Video

Waves– After the tragedy surrounding her brother, Emily’s life is flipped upside down, until she finds Luke who just seems to get her. Apple TV, Amazon Prime Video.

Bram Stoker’s Dracula– On a trip to London, Count Dracula meets a women who he believes is his deceased wife reincarnated. Apple TV, Amazon Prime Video.

The Notebook– An impoverished man falls in love with a wealthy women but her family’s disapproval stops her as he embarks for the military and when he returns, their love rekindles while she is involved with another man. Hulu, Max, Apple TV.

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind– After a painful breakup, both partners undergo an intense procedure to have their memories of each other erased but that won’t be enough to stop their love for each other. MGM, Apple TV, Amazon Prime Video.

She’s All That– A jock’s girlfriend leaves him, heavily declining his popularity therefore he agrees to a challenge to transform the nerdy girl into the next prom queen. Pluto TV, Amazon Prime Video.

13 going on 30– After a 13 year old girl’s birthday party goes wrong, she wishes to be 30, and wakes up to discover just that she had transformed into a 30 year old women and finds the boyfriend that she was wishing for was right in front of her when she was 13. Netflix, Hulu.

Fidel Cabrera is an 18 year-old senior who attends Hoover High School and hopes to attend nursing school right after at City College then transfer to a four year university.

Fidel has attended all four years at Hoover and will be the first of five in his family to graduate from Hoover and attend college. His role models are his parents who have made a lot of sacrifices to bring him where he is now. He hopes to become a psychiatric nurse because of his passion for mental health and the functions of the brain. He has developed this passion from his AP Psychology course and his Developing Future Mental and Behavioral Health course, as well as his time spent interning at Rady's Children's Hospital where he experienced all the behavior units in the hospital along with meet a variety of psychology nurses which only encouraged his interest for psychology even further. Along with his career choice he wants to build awareness for mental health awareness in Latino families/households due to the high stigma that follows it. Fidel believes that this stigma following mental health is absurd and people should be educated on its effects to truly destigmatize it.

His favorite foods are acai bowls, which he regularly gets at Better Buzz Coffee, with lots of honey. He is constantly listening to music and some of his favorite artists at the moment are Frank Ocean, Hope Sandoval, Amy Winehouse, and Los Panchos. For his year goals he hopes to save up enough money to buy a car and get a license as well as gain more experience with his profession and build up enough knowledge to only further motivate his decisions. In the spring, he will graduate and hopes that him and his classmates will find peace and comfort reaching their goals.
