Jennifer Lopez Garcia is a current junior at Hoover high school for the 2024-2025 school year and is a part of the former ALMA academy, VAPA.

Being a part of the arts academy, Jennifer has found many opportunities that she loves to express herself in. Her creativeness is mainly directed towards her admiration of crocheting, journaling and sewing in which she has a huge passion for and spends a plentiful amount of her free time doing so.

Having always loved to be creative Jennifer has participated in quite a few of the school events. That includes the annual haunted house presented by the drama department where she volunteered to be one of the scare actors which included things like costumes, scary makeup and many screams. When Jennifer was younger, she was also involved in some performance experiences like cheerleading, singing and acting. Apart from events, Jennifer has not only shown an appreciation in arts but furthermore in athletics. During Jennifer’s freshman and sophomore year, she was a part of the J.V. volleyball team and tennis team. For her junior year, Jennifer planned to take the year of sport to specifically focus a little more on academics then for senior year she is planning on returning to a sport.

After Highschool, Jennifer plans to move to Montana in dreams of attending her desired school which is Montana State University. The specific choice of Montana sparks in Jennifer’s mind due to her hopes of some day obtaining another one of her life long goals of having a farm there with its beautiful landscapes alongside her family. And so while attending Montana State University, Jennifer intends to get a bachelors in science in nursing to further complete her passion of becoming a pediatric nurse.

Over the last few years, Jennifer has shown an immense amount of progress in herself that she is very thankful for, on top of the positivity that surrounds her no matter what issues are thrown her way.
