Sports have a diversity of physical characteristics and physical activities, and have many benefits that help athletes and participants when they are part of a team or the sport itself.
A sport itself requires physical effort and some high skills, according to the rules, that support whichever sport you will be choosing to play. It is a competition or an activity that would be played for enjoyment and/or as a job. I play for the junior varsity volleyball team. Volleyball is a type of sport that teaches you some beneficial skills, such as increasing your flexibility, enhancing arm muscle strength, improving your mood swings, improving your body composition, and many more.
Volleyball originated back in 1895 in Massachusetts, USA. It was created by an American named William G. Morgan. Today, volleyball is liked by over 900 million people from Europe, Australia, Asia, and the United States. I enjoy the sport itself because it has special positions and unique ways to participate in the game. I know that I may not be one of the best players, like most of the other teammates, but I don’t care about the fact that I’m still working on some things because that’s not what a sport is mainly supposed to be about.
Although a sport’s purpose is partially about skill development, it is also about good communication with others, physical health, and especially discipline. Any sport is not just about winning or losing, but to learn about teamwork, learn about sportsmanship, and learn about discipline. The value of working together for a common goal and having the emphasis on fundamentals, not just games.
I care for my teammates competing in every game there is, because it can be rough sometimes. I always try my best in what I sign myself up for because I take things seriously and expect mistakes, risks, and failing a few times. But I know that in the end it will all be worth it because I am staying healthy, active, and taking advantage of many physical benefits.
