Coral Arreola is currently a 17-year-old junior at Hoover High School, and is part of the VAPA academy. She is a very hard working student and always cares for others.
Coral has many hobbies that she does outside of school, one being playing her favorite sport which is squash. She has been playing for about four years and loves it. She took a break from sports this year to focus more on school but last year, she was part of the badminton team and she hopes to join again her senior year. Coral isn’t currently in any programs at school but she is a part of a program outside of school called Access Youth Academy. This program helps with academic support and offers free tutoring and mentors. They give opportunities for students to visit colleges and teach you how to play the sport, squash.
She is also a great leader and took on the role as president of the Class of 2026 during her freshman and sophomore year. Now as a junior she is the secretary of the cabinet. Coral hopes to become either an interior designer or have her own business. As a kid, Coral watched a show called Interior Design Masters which inspired her interest in interior design of houses. If she had her own business she hopes to have her own jazz coffee shop or a jazz bar.
Her goals for senior year is to have good grades and be successful in all her classes earning all her credits. She hopes to take all the opportunities she can and open up to be more confident. Coral may seem like a very shy person but she’s also very kind when you get to know her. She’s very hard working and gets her work done. For Coral, college is very important. She hopes to attend Tufts University because this university gives her the opportunity to keep playing her favorite sport which is squash and she also loves the campus.
