Mothers day is a day where all mothers around the world have a day where they are thanked and appreciated. This day is important because they play pivotal roles in our lives.
Whether you have a bad relationship with your mother or not, they give us life. Mothers also face tough decisions everyday and the outcomes that come with them. For example when you ask to hang out at a friend’s house and she says “no”, she has to deal with the bad attitude. When defining “mother” it means a woman in relation to her child or children, but also a woman who puts her own desires and feelings aside and puts another person’s feelings and future in front of theirs for 18 plus years.

My mother is one of the most important people in my life. She is the reason why I am the person I am today. My love for my mother is unconditional, and words can not describe the sacrifices and the connection we have together.
My mom could be annoying and hard to deal with. Everyone has dealt with annoyance and hardship with their moms, and it comes to a point where you wish you never had one. But that does not take away their importance in life. Moms are one of the best things in life. Without them, there would be no unconditional love. They are what make you strong, responsible, and independent.

Whenever I need her she stops what she’s doing to be by my side. I love how much she cares for me, I love how every action of love she does for me. I thank God everyday for blessing me with such a kind hearted mother. I am blessed enough to say that my mother gives me all the love I need. I feel complete with her, as I grow older I realize that she’s the only one I need. As long as I have my mommy, I won’t miss anything. Nobody could ever take her place.
Words won’t ever describe the amazing person she is but her unconditional love can bright up a whole room. I love her so much.

When we only had one car, my Mother would walk me every morning to school to make sure I was getting my education, and she would pick me up after school as well, and would even buy me ice cream. When I had homework to do, she would help me with reading and writing so that I would improve, and she was very strict that I would complete my homework. As I grew older, we started becoming more financially stable, I started to have more brothers, and my parents could finally live comfortably as they no longer had to work twice as hard as before. For that reason, my mother means so much to me, as she had to sacrifice everything at such a young age and didn’t run away from her problems but instead fought against them.

Growing up I know my mother did her absolute best in raising me. One memory that often comes to mind is our morning summer walks at Chollas Lake. That summer I had been diagnosed as overweight and prediabetic, therefore every morning that summer, although my mother worked long shifts at night, she would wake me up at 6 am and we would head to the Chollas Lake Park.
Although she did work long nights often getting out at 3am or 5am, she would still wake up at 8am making sure to give me a ride to school. All her hardwork and dedication raising me, the youngest of five, is amazing. I am so fortunate to have truly the best mother possible.

If I could describe my mom with one word it’ll be determined. My mom is a hard-headed woman who isn’t afraid of anything. She sacrificed so much of her life just to give me the best head start in this world. She was originally from Mexico and only came to the United States when she was 16 and 17. She was my age making bigger choices for her at that age while I’m trying to figure out how to pass math class. She got pregnant with my older brother at the age of 17 and was just 20 when she had me. She was a housewife up until her mid-twenties when she had to find a job due to the divorce from my father. My mom didn’t know how to work because she never had a job, so she was determined to prove wrong to everyone who said she couldn’t do anything without a man helping her. Ever since my mom hasn’t stopped working for her better lifestyle. My mom is the most independent woman and I look up to her everyday working hard to just prove that all her sacrifices and struggles are worth it.

My mother is the most amazing person I’ve known in my life. She is one of the main reasons I exist in this world, and allows me to live a great life. She has always been there for me whenever I have bad days or at any rate of exercises that make me feel down…she’s there to comfort me. My mother is on the honor roll for being the best Mom I know in my life. My mother has many wonderful talents and traits that make her my most remarkable mother: she pays attention to all her children, sets a good example of being a trustworthy person, is one of the most intelligent person in our family, has a great sense of humor, and she’s always there for us when we need support and guidance.

My mom, Nao Enyama-Turner, is the first person I’ve ever met in my small lifetime and I’m very glad that it was her and no one else. We are very much alike and I have inherited a lot of things that made my mom, my mom. I was introduced to a wide variety of music at a very young age and I still to this day continue to expand my taste in music over a large span of genres. This also includes clothing, as she would show me the different music videos of the internet and I would be so intrigued in what the dancers and singers were wearing. She would let me wear some of her clothing that would resemble that of the dancers and I would try to mimic the dances they were doing while she recorded me. It was one of the best memories that I had as a child because it required no money and it was new every time.

I am very lucky to have a mom who has always been very supportive of me. Anytime I was stressed about school, she would become my biggest cheerleader. Encouraging me to keep trying, but also to take breaks if necessary as not to overstress. She never pressured me about getting good grades, she just pushed me to try. When I was struggling to choose which college I wanted to commit to, she expressed her opinion but reassured me that she would support me wherever I go.
I could not ask for a better, more loving mom. She has always worked so hard in order to give my sister and I great childhoods. I am very grateful for all she has done for me and the things she has taught me.

Growing up, Father’s Day was a bit of a difficult day since my mom has basically raised me as a single mother with some help from my uncles. It was definitely an experience at school and I wasn’t ever really sure of who to write a Father’s Day card to. However, I realized that I didn’t need to write my card to a father but to my mom. My mom basically played both roles in my life and paid all my expenses. She became a huge role model to me, since she showed me that she was strong enough to raise me by herself but also strong enough to pay all types of bills with her own money. I did not get everything I wanted as a child, however that taught me to appreciate every little thing more.
Later in the future I hope to get a good job so that I can repay my mom for all her kindness and also buy her everything she has ever wanted.

My mom is one of the most amazing people I know. She’s not just my mom, but one of my best friends. She has worked incredibly hard to raise not only me, but my younger brothers as well. She’s the most patient and driven person I’ve ever met. I will never understand how my mom remains so patient, even when dealing with the most annoying people. Her students love her because of her kindness, and she always sees the good in everyone, regardless of who they are. My mom constantly spreads positivity, and I hope one day I can learn how to have her optimistic outlook on life. As the mother of four kids, my mom works really hard to make sure that we are the happiest version of ourselves all of the time. Even on rough days, my mom prioritizes making sure that me and my brothers are okay. Having my mom as a mother is truly a blessing, I feel like I can talk to her about anything.

My mom definitely deserves this day. Throughout my whole life, she’s done nothing but do the most to make me happy. We have our differences and get into arguments here and there but nothing compares to the good moments we’ve shared together. Whether we’re laughing, crying, sitting in silence, singing, I don’t care what it is, I love every moment I’m with her. She’s been both a mother and a father to me and all my siblings and although she’s not perfect and makes mistakes, she’s still my mom which is perfect in my eyes. She’s sacrificed so much for me and my siblings and has done everything in her power to help us be successful. Staying up late helping with homework when she has work early in the morning, waking up extra early to make lunches, going out of her way to get us our favorite sweet treats, my mom does it all. I’m grateful for the things she does as I know some people aren’t as fortunate to have such an amazing mother like mine. She’s my best friend and I could never imagine how life would be if I had another mother who wasn’t as loving or hard working as my mom.

My mother is very brave and comes from many struggles. No matter what life throws at her, she’s always been able to overcome it and take it as an opportunity to grow stronger. She was a single mother of five kids and was able to give us the best life. I look up to her because I’ve never met a stronger woman like her. My mom has always proven to me that with hard work you can overcome anything that comes your way, and to me, that’s something that’s always stuck with me. My mom always taught us to value our education and try to become something in life. She always says “ no sean como yo, sean mejor que yo. Aprovechan de las oportunidades que les da la vida.” I never understood that because all I ever wanted to do was be like her. From a young age I knew that I wanted to make her proud. As her youngest, my mom has always spoiled me and let me have basically whatever I wanted. I know I want to make my mom proud by going to college and showing her that her big sacrifices meant something to me.

Explaining my relationship with my mother can be tough to explain when there is some misunderstanding or difficult emotion that surrounds it, but there is a sentence that possibly describes this simpler than I do. “As a woman I have so much empathy for my mother, but as a daughter I have so much anger.”
I try to understand the fact that the relationship between my mom and I, is an effort that has to be contributed from both of us and I can’t place the entire blame on her. And during the times that I felt there was nothing to our relationship, I should’ve acknowledged the struggles and issues she was facing as well which made her say some hurtful things. There is obviously still that part of me that wishes she could notice the attempts I have made to improve. Especially since a mother is supposed to be there for her kids when they face their own struggles, not be the one to cause it. Ultimately, I do try to appreciate the reality of our connection that she is still here with me today as well as the hope and opportunity to improve our relationship.

My mother was always kind, a little bit on the rough side with her words, but I always felt loved. She never deserved the many things that happened to her when she was growing up because she grew up in the gangster era. I believe the day when I gave my mom, my aunt, and my grandma flowers for Valentine’s Day is when I accepted that my mom had finally come back. She is doing a lot to repent for her past actions, and I’m proud of her for it because she is making an effort to change completely, and that makes me think a lot about the horrible days that we used to have but I understand that what happened was out of her control, I understand she didn’t mean to do the things she did but she still did it and that’s all I used to think about but eventually I stopped thinking about it and my mother did make the change and is now a better person than I can ever be and I respect her for it because she is amazing.

I only had my mom for one year of my life and regardless of that she’s made a big impact on my life. Her name was Maria Nancy Solis and she was born on August 24, 1979 and raised in Aguascalientes, Mexico in a small town called El Gigante. She passed away on September 30, 2008.
I don’t know much about her since she passed away when I was a year old but from what my dad tells me, she loved me and was loved. I wish she could’ve seen me grow up and had her in my life but my dad has done an amazing job at raising me with everything that happened. He’s honestly my rock and has done the best for me even through all the bad things I’ve done he always shows up and I really appreciate and love him. Now that I’m graduating I dedicate it to him and to the memory of my mom because I know she’s looking down at me and is proud I made it. I’m going to continue doing my best for them because they deserve the world.

I love my mom but I just wish she was nicer when she’d get my siblings or me in trouble. There would be times that we would have a good couple of months in our relationship, it would start off as a normal but then there’s times where she would change her mood and it would change the whole atmosphere of the house. I know she does the best for us, or at least tries. But sometimes she ends up putting her problems on us and it tends to be hard to deal with. I don’t want to say she’s a bad mother mostly because she has helped me shape the person I am today, but I just wish she did it in a better way that didn’t cause me to have an overthinking state of mind. I still love my mom.

My mom is one of the kindest people I have ever met, not only to her children or her family but to anyone and everyone she meets. Yes, she gets mad like every mother does. But she never stays mad, and even when she is mad or bothered, she will put everything aside to still give my siblings and I anything we may need. For example, if me and her argue and I ask her for something later, she will still be mad, but she will still try her hardest to help me and be there. She doesn’t hold grudges and always puts other people’s needs before her own.
She is the strongest person I know. She works everyday and still comes home to work even more, it makes me feel so bad and at times I help her but there’s other times where I get lazy and don’t want to help and I feel so guilty not helping her. She goes to work, comes from and makes my dad lunch for work, goes to sleep and does it all over again the next day.
My mother is my everything, and I love her so much I can’t even put it into words. I love seeing her, being with her, laughing with her. My favorite thing ever is laughing with her because she has the funniest, most contagious laugh ever, and seeing her smile will always put a smile on my face.
