Clothes, something we need and use in our lives, and are a necessity for and a daily use for many.

As for some adults, we may see around, creativity isn’t something they really use when putting on an outfit. But as teenagers, we tend to put more thought and creativity into the clothes we wear. We also tend to be trend followers, so whatever is in season we MUST buy! We are currently in the year 2025, a year where creativity has taken a bigger step when it comes to clothes . You see denim skirts, pink clothes, bows, vintage, baggy clothing, and let’s not forget “Hello Kitty” being plastered on every single piece of clothing that can exist. But then again, we know what we wear is what defines us since it represents our self-expression.

As for me, I tend to use clothes I feel most confident in, which makes clothes important to me. My clothing choices are what allows others to visually see my culture, identity, and my likes. I put deep thought into my outfits on a daily basis, even if I have to wake up earlier than other days just to be sure I will be looking good. I own a few pieces that tend to be my favorites and most used which are my baggy jeans. The comfort I receive from them is a plus.

Although some may feel different about my take on clothing, I can say that everyone views clothes as a form of self-expression. Hoover students, for example, come dressed in clothing that shows who they are as a person and what their likes are.  You see all types of clothes, which shows how unique our campus can be when it comes to fashion.

Clothing isn’t just something we put on to be fully covered, but also something that makes us who we are. Which is why it is so important! The main thing is that you are comfortable and like what you’re wearing.  People may judge you but it’s not about them and who cares what they think.
