As a teenager, I can agree to say that your home is and will forever be one of the most important places in your life.
You basically grew-up in your home, and you did everything there. It’s the one place you can eat as much as you want, eat messy without anyone looking at you, and use the bathroom without worrying if there’s another person that needs to use it. You can wake up as late as you want, sleep as late as you want, and have your own privacy. For some teens that would be their bedroom. By far, all of the teenagers I’ve met say that their favorite part, when returning back home from school or just returning back home, is going to their room.
They say this because it’s the place where they get to relax and be lazy without anyone looking and judging you. It’s almost like a safe space because you’re familiar with it and you know you’re home. I feel like at the end of the day of every teenagers life, after hanging out with friends or being outside all day, whether you’re sleepy, tired, want to change clothes, want to change shoes, eat or even lay down, the first thing that would come up to your mind is “I want to go home.” Because you know that’s the one place you can go back too and do all of those things.
From my point of view I think my home is one of my top important places in my life because that’s the place where I can go and call home, talk to my parents, be comfortable and rest. My home will always be the place that I wake up in and sleep in too so how could that not be one of the most important things in a teenager’s life?
