My favorite movie is Coraline because it combines fantasy with creepy and unsettling imagery, and is often described as a children’s horror story.
I would watch it again because I just like the theme in the movie, and it gives off old vibes with creepy vibes. I like watching it more when it’s getting close to Halloween because I feel like watching it gets me in the vibe. After all, if you watch it on a regular day, it’s just not the Halloween vibe. However, maybe other people watch it on a regular day, but it’s more enjoyable when it’s getting closer to Halloween.
I would recommend it to other students because if you want to watch something creepy, but not scary, I feel that this would be a good movie to watch, especially if you’re looking for something scary around Halloween, as it would be a good option. I could watch it over and over because it’s a good movie for the season, and if you want to watch something scary, but not too scary with your younger siblings.
The movie is about a girl named Coraline, who is a bored young girl who discovers a hidden door in her new home that leads to an alternate, idealized version of her life. The author of the movie is Neil Gaiman, and the visuals of the movie are detailed stop motion animation, with handmade sets and costumes, and the use of practical effects and a distinctive color palette that contrasts with the dullness of the real world, with the vibrancy of the Other World. The storyline of the movie is that while Coraline is exploring her new home, Coraline discovers a secret door, behind which lies an alternate world that closely mirrors her own but, in many ways, is better. She rejoices in her discovery until her Other Mother and the rest of her parallel family try to keep her there forever. Coraline must use all her resources and bravery to make it back to her own family and life.
Coraline can be streamed on Amazon Prime, YouTube, Apple TV, Pluto TV, Tubi, and The Roku Channel
