Briana Ly is an outstanding 15 year old volleyball player at Hoover High School who has made phenomenal performances.
Briana began to play volleyball in 5th grade and has been playing ever since. She is only a freshman and has made this year’s varsity volleyball team. She says that the reason she joined volleyball was because of her father who advised her to join the sport and ever since then, she has grown to love it. What keeps her going and motivates her are her coaches and parents. Briana says that they push her really hard in a way that motivates her to keep on going and to give it her best effort. Briana says what makes this sport enjoyable and fun is the connections with teammates and the feeling of scoring a win. She says these connections are essential to good sportsmanship and good communication.
She is in the AHHC academy that currently gives her hands-on experience and knowledge about the medical field, which is something that she says she would like to study in college after high school. Outside of school some activities Briana enjoys are drawing and playing volleyball. She enjoys drawing because it is something that helps her clear her mind and lets her express herself. She continues to play volleyball outside of school to improve herself and because she is passionate about it.
She likes to tell her teammates and friends, “Always give it your all.”
