Annabel Medina is a junior in the AHHC academy and is a multi-athlete at Hoover High School.
This is Annabel’s first year playing flag football at Hoover, and has made great improvement within her first two months of the sport. This year Annabel joined flag football to get a feel of a new sport and environment. During the Battle of the Boulevard and the Point Loma game, Annabel caught two pick sixes and three interceptions, proceeding to show her great improvement on the field.
Someone who pushes Annabel to the fullest is her twin sister Abigail Medina who also participates in flag football and is the one who introduced her to the sport. Anabel enjoys playing the sport because it’s easy to understand and can be fun with her teammates. It’s also a good way to form connections with new people. Many of her teammates and friends would describe her as a hardworking student and athlete.
In addition, Annabel shows interest in different sports such as volleyball, soccer, and track. She currently holds a 3.9 GPA and wants to attend a four year university and major in sports medicine after high school. Besides school, something she enjoys doing is watching movies such as Marvel, Harry Potter, Twilight or any movie that is a romcoms. She cares deeply about her education and likes to study for any subject that can help for her future career.
“Give your best to everything, not one thing,” is the message Annabel wants to share with the world.
