The month of February is majorly known as the month that celebrates both Valentine’s Day and Presidential day weekend, but this isn’t all that February is good for. Did you know that February is also National Chocolate Lovers and Potato Lover’s month? The month of February commemorates a variety of national food holidays. Each day in this month marks a specific food holiday, these are known as the daily holidays. I, definitely think you need to know about the following: National Cake Pop Day, National Tater Tot Day, World Nutella Day, National Frozen Yogurt Day, National Fettuccine Alfredo Day, National Chocolate Mints Day, National Banana Bread Day and National Tortilla Chip Day.

Let us start off by going through each of these holidays and their dates. National Cake Pop Day is on February 1st. What is a cake pop you ask? A cake pop is cake, baked in an appealing shape; hand dipped in frosting and decorated to taste, all on a stick to be eaten as candy.

National Tater Tot Day, which is the next day, lies on February 2nd. Fun fact is that tater tots literally mean “baby potatoes”.

World Nutella Day and National Frozen Yogurt Day are both on February 5th. For those who don’t know what Nutella is, it is a chocolate and hazelnut spread. Interesting fact, Nutella outsells all brands of peanut butter. National Frozen Yogurt Day means that many places such as Yogurtland, will be giving out free yogurt for a certain amount of hours. Frozen yogurt comes in a variety of flavors that you will be able to top off with delicious fruits and assortments.

National Fettuccine Alfredo Day is on February 7th. I mean who wouldn’t want to celebrate this day once a year. Enjoying a bowl of ribbon pasta cooked to perfection with butter and parmesan cheese is a necessity on this day

National Chocolate Mint Day is on February 19th. One way you can honor this holiday is by relishing in a box of Girl Scout Thin Mint Cookies.

National Banana Bread Day is on February 23rd, so instead of just eating a plain old banana, why not bake it into bread on that day.

Last but not least, National Tortilla Chip Day is on February 24th. If you like Doritos and you just happen to be eating a bag of Doritos this day, you are already celebrating! Whatever food holiday you decide to celebrate this year, the month of February has a variety of awesome holidays to choose from.
