Pros & Cons of U.S. Candidates

Bernie Sanders: Bernie Sanders is a Democrat, who wants to give back to the middle class as much as possible due to the major gap of income and wealth inequality between the rich and everyone below them. He claims as president that he will return justice to society, but of course those who are living lavishly are completely against this and want their fortune to themselves. They do not see the point of sharing if they are already ahead of the game of life compared to the middle and lower class; therefore, they would leave the country with the result of the government not having enough capital to equally spread the wealth amongst the poor, as he intends to do. He will increase the minimum wage from $7.50 to $15, create more jobs for the millions of unemployed Americans, and repair our infrastructure, which is falling apart. The downside to Bernie’s cause is that it may lead to an economic collapse and lack of votes from those who do want him as president, especially if they are not allowed to vote due to citizenship.

Donald Trump: We also have Donald Trump who is against all of Bernie’s proposals. Trump’s slogan is “Make America Great Again!”, he wants to maintain the wealth within the top 1% and repeal what President Obama did during his term, particularly Obamacare, with the fact that it has brought upon an economic burden and we are suffering from it as we speak. Trump believes that we need a Republican president and Congress to lead the effort and return our nation to the original, pristine state that it truly is. Also, he is a businessman and politician, so he is capable of restoring our economy and putting our country in danger all at once. He has publicly announced that he believes Mexicans are bad people and that the solution to immigration issues is to build a huge wall in order to “keep them out”. Not only is this idea cruel, but idiotic as he also wants Mexico to pay for all the expenditures.

Hillary Clinton: Hillary Clinton is a Democrat and if she wins, she will be the first female president of the United States. She has grasped the attention of many feminists due to the fact that she is a woman, but her shadiness and indecisiveness has misled those followers to shift their support to other candidates. She is constantly mimicking the actions and words of Bernie Sanders because she sees the interest of young voters with the opportunity to swoop in and possibly have their vote. She is pro death penalty, but also wants to allow felons who have completed their sentences the right to vote. Honestly, she would not have my vote because she is not true to her own self, her cause, and candidacy.
