On January 9th, 2018 Hoover’s senior soccer players had one of their most memorable games of the season. Hoover played against San Diego High which concluded in a tie. Students from Hoover had plenty of school spirit especially when things got intense between the two teams.

“I felt excited because I knew that Senior Night only happens once however I was nervous as well like every soccer player is before a game,” said senior Luis Medellin. “It was a night that I really enjoyed with all my friends and teammates and one of the emotions you will feel is to be nervous but to never let that get in the way of the game because emotions will go away.  They are temporary but what matters the most is to enjoy the night…your night.”

Even though the score of the game was unwanted, it was a reflection of their experience together. Everybody that stepped on the field gave their best andnever gave up. This soccer night will stay in the memory of seniors even after they graduate.  They will look back and remember that their best years were spent training, chasing after a ball, making goals, and most importantly giving their full potential on Hoover’s field.
