Kobe Bryant, arguably the best player ever from the Lakers, was born in August 23, 1978. Bryant is a retired professional basketball player. He played for the Los Angeles Lakers for 20 years. During that his time, Kobe won 5 championships and was the NBA slam dunk championship. He holds the record for most career points by a Los Angeles Laker, as well as being the youngest player to score 26,000 points. As a child, he lived in Philadelphia with his two older sisters, Sharia and Saya, as well as his mother Pam and his father Joe. His father was a professional basketball player as well and was nicknamed “Jellybean Joe Bryant.” Since his father played basketball as well he was determined to become a professional basketball player as well. He won a variety of awards during High School which sparked the interest of the Charlette Hornets but was traded to the LA Lakers. Today he has a family of his own with his wife Vanessa Bryant and their three daughters, Natalia, Gianna, and Bianka. Today he enjoys spending time with his family and attends the LA Lakers games at times.
