Giana Munoz, Staff Writer

The Cardinal would like to recognize Ms. Yolanda Noyes as our last influential person for Black History Month. She’s a one of a kind teacher! She’s beautiful, hilarious, caring, charismatic; she’s the kind of person that makes your day brighten with just her glowing smile. Ms.Noyes is a friend and mentor to many students, someone who cares and is supportive of each and every single one. She’s extraordinary, incredibly kind, and humble! If anyone has had her, or has had the pleasure to meet her, knows that these statements are true and can only say beautiful things about her.

Ms. Noyes is the BSU advisor and this year, she is the director of the new Social Justice Academy. Last year she taught a psychology and restorative practice classes with Ms. Hohenstein and this year she is teaching the new restorative justice class. Also last year, she oversaw Hoover’s first Peace Conference. She has changed many students’ lives and continues to be a positive force to many of them. Not only do students love her but many teachers as well. Ms. Noyes is an amazing human being, the whole school can agree.

She also loves Italian food, Extraordinary Desserts, and a really good book.
