Held once a year, four schools( Morse. Lincoln, Hoover, and San Diego High) united to organize a Special Olympics course for students who are mentally challenged. This event was made up of different soccer activities for all students to participate in. Many staff members, parents, even our principal, Mr. Jason Babineau went to support. The goal was to make every student feel important and to demonstrate that they have a number of skills and are capable to mount to anything.

“I had a lot of fun,” said senior Anahi Brito-Trujillo. “It was fun to meet new students.”
The special thing about this event was to give every students with special needs a chance to get out there, and not only support their peers but encourage them as well. Students wore t-shirts that said,” Give me the courage and the strength to win but if I don’t win at least let me have fun.”

Every student at the end of the games received a medal or ribbon for participating in this amazing experience that they will remember.
