Leati Joseph Anoa’i, or also known as Roman Reigns, was born in Pensacola, Florida. Even though he was born in the United States, he is part Samoan and is even cousins with Dwayne Johnson also known as The Rock. Ever since he was a child, wrestling has always been in his blood alongside his family. Joseph’s father was a professional wrestler, in addition to his cousin Dwayne. However, even though his family was full of wrestlers, he took interest in football during his childhood. He won several championships with his school as well as being awarded “Defensive Player of the Year.” His good actions awarded him the opportunity to play for the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets football team as well as later being signed by the Minnesota Vikings. He retired the same year to focus on his family tradition; wrestling.

His career as a popular wrestler began in 2010 when he was signed by WWE, arguably the most famous and popular wrestling show. Even though he lost his debut match, today he is arguably one of the most popular and best wrestlers in this day. He has even won the World Heavyweight Championship twice. Even though he has a lot of fame he always gives back to the community and provides entertainment. He sets a good example to the kids and donates money to charities to give them enough to provide students with education.
