Ambar Ramirez

Hello, my name is Ambar Ramirez and I am currently a junior in the Academy of Literature, Media and Arts(ALMA) at Hoover High School. I was born and raised in San Diego, California. I’m involved in clubs like Cesar Chavez, Octagon Club, College Club (also known as CAC Club) and many more. I’m also part of Hoover’s Jazz and marching band.
A program that has helped me a lot is Step Up. Within this program, I’ve experienced the college life. It has helped me visualize how I would be as a college student. It also gives me the experience on how college classes are.
One of my passions is music. Music has been there for me when I went through hard times. I would love to do music as a career choice. I want to become a music teacher because it has always been my passion and I want kids to learn about the importance that music has. One of the main reasons why I want to go to college is to make my parents proud of me.”
