When sophomore Frederick Jenkins was young he watched the Chargers play on television. And after watching his cousin play football, he decided that playing football was what he wanted to do.

Frederick is a transfer student from Hollywood High in Los Angeles. Since he joined the Cardinal football team, he has had a positive impact to his team and is growing into being one of its leaders. Frederick feels the coaches are good and will make them work hard for next season. Frederick caught a touchdown pass at the October 12 game against Clairemont. He would like to attend is dream school, UCLA and still play football.

Frederick finds it a little difficult to play line backer and his favorite position is quarterback, but he feels mentally prepared for next year. He currently holds a 3.83 GPA and will go into track and field after the football season.
