Keoni Ben was born on the Marshall Islands. He is currently a senior at Hoover High School where he has attended for almost all four years. At four years old, he moved out to California with his mother, grandmother, brother, and also a little sister. Although he was mostly raised in California, he still follows his Marshallese culture and customs. Keoni is part of Cardinals Interact; a program which mentors students and provides resources for college. In his previous high school years, he was involved in sports, such as football and baseball. This year, Keoni is thinking about trying out for another sport to try something new since it is his last year at Hoover.

Keoni wants to attend University of California, Santa Barbara. However, he might transfer after he has gone to a community college due to financial issues. Keoni wants to major in public relations, which is the professional maintenance of a public image by a company, organization, or a famous person. Outside from school and work, he enjoys biking and going around to places for fun.
