Parks and Recreation is a series on Netflix. It was on NBC from 2009 to 2015. The series was mostly directed by Dean Holland but many other directors were given a chance. He and his partners also worked on shows like The Office and Entourage.

Parks and Recreation is a very comedic show filled with episodes around the main character Leslie Knope, played by Amy Poeler. Her love for the fictional city, Pawnee, does not hinder her optimism and she’d like to become President of the United States.

Her crew also deals with issues the people of Pawnee bring to her, but there are episodes with lot of insight to the life in Pawnee and working for the Parks and Recreation branch. The show boasts some strong writing, and the characters have really good timing.

The show is also known for giving Chris Pratt more exposure thus leading him to the Guardians of the Galaxy series. Originally Pratt was to play “Andy” as a special one-time character but they really liked him so much they let him be in the series for the run of the series.

Since this show is on Netflix, it is something that is worth binge watching.  If you are looking for something entertaining and fun, Parks and Recreation is the show for you!
