Around the World!

This year’s 2019 Hoover High School prom was held on Saturday, June 8, at the San Diego Central Library.  The formal event took place in the Shiley Special Events Suite which offered amazing views of the Coronado Bridge and Petco Park.  There just happened to be a Padre game that night which hindered some of the seniors to get to prom on time.  This did not stop students from dancing the night away.

The cool part of prom this year was entering the event through the library.  It was closed to the public and students were told to go to the 9th floor.  The junior class acted as elevator operators to escort students to the top.  Attendees packed the dance floor once the deejay played a popular group dance song.

The venue also offered a silent disco where attendees wore headphones and danced to what they heard.  There were two photo booths to choose from and several areas to relax or take in a view.  Then the glow sticks came out and everyone couldn’t stop dancing!

Of course, the night would not have been complete without this year’s 2019 Prom King and Queen, Junior Reyes and Dasiana Thompson.  A fun time was had by all.
