Rosario Dawson is a 40 year old Hispanic actress, and has never been content on being a Hollywood star. She’s a co-founder of Vato Latino and has inspired and empowered a new generation of young people to register to vote and hit the polls in a major way. Rosario is very passionate on other world issues including the arrests for undocumented immigrants. She has raised awareness for the Purple Purse campaign which donated about $250,000 to the YWCA for their domestic violence survivors and women who are in need of help.

As an actress, Rosario has played in the show Luke’s Cages and as lawyer in Jane The Virgin. In 2018, she worked with Gina Rodriguez and a couple of other Hispanic actresses empowering women to encourage other Latinos to vote in the midterm elections. Rosario wants to build from that love she has and wants Hispanics to come together as a community to stand tall. Rosario is highly active on political, social, and environmental causes.
