Shutdown causes yearbook delay

Rose Yem, Editor-in-Chief

The 2020 yearbook, We ARE, is still available for sale, but only through the finance office on June 4.  After that, people will be able to purchase online again.  Online sales will stop on Monday, June 1, in order to monitor sales for June 4.  Unfortunately, the books will not arrive in time for the senior pick-up on June 4.

“When the mandatory shutdown occurred,” stated advisor Mr. Michael Heu. “Jostens had to move the printing to their Tennessee plant.  They have been working 24/7 to finish all the books nationwide.”

Currently, Hoover’s yearbook is halfway through production and when finished, will be shipped out.  It will take 4-5 days to arrive, but hopefully will arrive sooner.  The book will most likely be available for pick-up when seniors pick up there diplomas.  In the meantime, students and staff are advised to register for Jostens Digital Signing.

Once people register, they can hand out their yearbook code to those they wish to have sign their book.  The registered person has complete control over what will be included in the pages that will be emailed to them.
