The questionable use of #SaveOurChildren

The hashtag #SaveOurChildren has been recently trending in a lot of popular social media platforms like Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook. You might also see people sharing the hashtag #SavetheChildren on social media, but much of this online activity has nothing to do with the respected and real Save the Children charity. Its name has been hijacked by followers of the QAnon conspiracy theory.  It has been brought to everyone’s attention when the PizzaGate situation started trending when the quarantine started.

The PizzaGate conspiracy theory asked the question, “Have you been wondering what happened to those children in cages that the U.S. lost track off?”  In addition, it theorizes that all 1,500 of those children, along with others from all over the world have been trafficked, used, murdered, and even been victims of cannibalism by adults with higher power, like celebrities. Although there is evidence of a lot of those celebrities sexualizing and trafficking children, I think it might be better if I don’t mention names.

Children have been sexualized by many pedophiles out there. Victims and parents have shared their own stories and their own experiences as kids and/or of their kids and have shared them on their social media accounts for everyone to see and to stay safe and be aware of their surroundings. Even popular toys, kids shows & movies, and books have shown very disturbing scenes that brainwash the children who use those toys, watch those programs, and read those books. The parents who are very alert have seen those subliminal messages behind those toys and/or movies/shows and they’ve shared it on social media to bring awareness to the problem.

For example, a toy that has been exposed for having very disturbing functions is The DreamWorks Trolls World Tour Giggle ‘n Sing Poppy Troll doll. A parent has recorded herself at Walmart trying out the toy and discovered that the doll had a button on her “private part.” When she pressed on that button, the doll started to giggle, just like it says on her name. This is not okay at all, in light of the fact that children would have used that toy and think that being touched in their genitals is okay and fun. Many people argued that the toy promotes sexual harassment towards children and started to share the video until it went viral, which actually made an impact. The Trolls doll is currently in the process of being removed from the market.

Also, a recently released movie, Cuties, has started trending.  There are people who have watched it and wrote reviews about it. In the movie, there are 11-year-old girls who love to dance, but very provocatively. They are seen wearing revealing clothes, twerking, and even dancing sexually towards older guys. There are a lot more disturbing facts about this movie that are just disturbing. People have even called out Netflix for putting out a movie that sexualizes pre-teen girls with the claim that the movie is literally a veiled movie of child pornography.

People have later been finding more things with very disturbing subliminal messages towards the younger audience. They have even been rewatching their favorite shows and movies from their childhood and have found so many sexual remarks being made towards children, leaving everyone shocked and disgusted. They all started to realize how disturbing the system really is and they’ve decided to expose all of the companies that have made those remarks and put it under the hashtag #SaveOurChildren. However, it’s too bad that the hashtag isn’t used for the right reasons but instead to push a political agenda.
