We must remain patient

The coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic can be stressful for people. Fear and anxiety about a new illness and what might happen can be overwhelming and generate strong emotions in both adults and children.

Public health measures, such as social distancing, can make people feel isolated and lonely, and may increase stress and anxiety. However, these measures are necessary to reduce the spread of COVID-19. Dealing with stress in a healthy way will strengthen you and your loved ones and your community. When the coronavirus began, my family and I were a little scared of what was going to happen.  When they canceled school, I thought it was only going to be a month but later I found out that we are not going to return until further notice.

My family has been fine for a little while, but when in past months, we were afraid of what was going to happen in the future. To date, we have not missed anything in the house. We have had money, food, clothes and we have been well. Nobody in the family has been infected. We have been locked together for over three months, and we try not to get bored with each other. And always, when we go out somewhere, we always wear a mask wherever we go.

What I think of the covid is that people should take care of themselves when they go out.  They should wear a mask and wash their hands and always be united as a family.  People should be patient and not stressed. I would like us to return to normal because I already want to go back to school but we must be patient and not be afraid in these challenging times.  When I put on the mask it makes me very uncomfortable, but however I want to use it. I hope that all families are well and that they are helping each other with stress relief.
