Homesick

I’ve been at Hoover for about three years already and I like this school. What I really like about Hoover is that it has all kinds of people that you get to meet and it also has pretty cool events. Some I enjoyed were the food fair, pep rally, and the sports events too.  I enjoy all of those things. It also has some cool programs like Cardinals Interact, Aaron Price, Robotics, track and so much more.

This whole school year is weird just being online. I get confused most of the time and I don’t really like it but we can’t do anything about it. I miss talking to my friends and teachers in person and going out to hang with my friends during lunch, and meeting lots of cool new people. Also doing activities during class, which I found fun but I’m now more used to this online school thing. I now know what to do or where to go most of the time.  The new buildings at Hoover look so nice and cool.  When I went to look at it, I was amazed it looked way better than the old buildings. I can’t wait to go back to school and see all the new classes there, and my friends too of course.

What I really appreciate about online classes is that my teachers help us and are more worried about us if we are doing well and what’s been happening in our lives, which I really appreciate.  My English teacher, Mr. Hernandez, really made me try my best and would check on the students most of the time, so I guess you can say he inspired me to be better.  I think more students should come to Hoover because they can get lots of cool new experiences, meet new people and the teachers are all nice and will always be there when you need them. I basically see Hoover as my second family.
