One of the best in San Diego

One of my favorite places to go eat is Santa Ana Fresh Mexican Food. Santa Ana´s has been a restaurant that has been putting out authentic Mexican flavors for over 22 years. It was founded by Julio Posada.

When I go to eat at the restaurant, I usually get a Conga Burrito, which is a large tortilla filled with rice, beans and your choice of meat.  I usually get this burrito because it is really good and it contains my favorite foods from my culture. Their specialty is Mexican food, and they offer more than a dozen typical Mexican dishes. Burritos, tacos, tortas, quesadillas, tostadas, caldos, flan and aguas frescas.

They have two locations in San Diego. One is located not that far from Hoover, on El Cajon Blvd and the other one is located on University Ave in the City Heights center. The El Cajon Blvd location opens at 6 AM and closes at 2 AM from Sunday through Thursday and on Fridays and Saturdays they close at 3 AM. The University Ave location is open from 7 am and closes at 10pm every day of the week.

The atmosphere inside the restaurant is nice and cool with good air conditioning blasting when it’s hot outside. There is a lot of seating whether it is a table or the bar type of table. Their televisions are either playing music or sports. The restaurant is clean and the employees are respectful and nice. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to have a taste of Mexican cuisine. It is one of the best in San Diego.
