My favorite band as a kid and still today is Big Time Rush.They were a pop band that had their own t.v show and I remember watching it when I was younger.

There are four members:Kendall Schmidt, Logan Henderson, James Maslow, and Carlos Penavega. The band was formed in 2009 and were first signed with Nick Records but later switched to Columbia Records and at the same time, the band starred in their own Nickelodeon series, Big Time Rush. The show ran from November 28, 2009 to July 25, 2013, which also coincided with their single debut, Big time Rush, on November 29, 2009.

The show is Nickelodeon’s most watched live action series. While on the show they released three albums : BTR in 2010, Elevate in 2011, and 24/7 in 2013. They have won many awards; the Golden Bravo Otto Award for super pop band in 2011 and another one in 2012. They also won a 2012 Nickelodeon Kids Choice Award for favorite music group. In 2013 the band went on hiatus so each one could explore their own solo careers.

In December 2021, the group reunited and released the single  “Call It Like I See It”. The band will later go back on tour again in 2022. The boys were all from different places unlike in the t.v show, where they were all from Minnesota. They also changed a few other things about them like their families and their last names. Also in the show, they were friends and grew up together but they really didn’t know each other before that.  The band was very popular and sold 10 million albums worldwide. They have been one of my favorite bands since I was little and I still listen to them now.
