Ms. Wiebke
Ms. Megan Wiebke works as an attendance clerk at Hoover High School and has been in this role since March 2023.
Ms. Wiebke chose to work at Hoover because she wanted to be part of the education field for children. According to her, attendance this year has been excellent, and the students are doing well, which marks a good start to the school year. She noted that many students tend to miss school most frequently during the last eight weeks. Wiebke also shared one of the funniest excuses a parent gave for their child’s absence; a parent called in with an entertaining reason.
“My daughter can’t come school today. It’s Friday the 13th.”
Another thing she mentioned was that missing school does not only affect the school but also the student’s learning academics and future activities if they plan on going to hoco, prom, and graduation.
Ms. Wiebke also mentioned that she has three daughters and has been happily married for over 14 years. She also loves the color pink. And she added that her favorite season of the year is fall because she loves Thanksgiving and enjoys spending time with family. Lastly she wanted to let Hoover Cardinals know to stay positive this year, stay in school, and stay out of trouble, and most importantly, be on time.
