Religions are a very important thing to many people across the world, and no matter where you are, there will always be someone religious.
I think religion can be very great for people, as it can create a sense of community, offer moral guidance, and provide comfort, but it can be both good and bad. As religion has significantly influenced societies and individuals throughout history. Religions bring people together and share anything in common and promote acts of kindness and compassion. This makes people feel more connected and gives it a sense of purpose in their community.
On the other hand, religion can also cause people to be divided and cause conflict as throughout history, we have seen religions lead to wars and violence. It’s not a thing of the past as events such as these still occur till this day. This is also very shameful as many of these religions teach to spread positivity, kindness and to not have hatred towards one another. Many of these conflicts also exploit religious differences for political purposes, revealing how rigid ideologies can overshadow compassion. Focusing too much on these differences can distract from the essential values of empathy and understanding that most religions advocate
To me religion should be about improving as an individual and getting closer to God and loving God so much that you no longer want to sin as you do not want to break his heart. Personally, I am a Christian, and Jesus has helped me very much and he has never left my side once even when I have left him. He was there at my highest and he was also there at my lowest. Even when I have sinned, he answers my prayers and that made me love him even more. I also believe that if you believe in him, keep your faith, and preach his word, you will seek eternal happiness with Jesus.
