Christian Yitayih is an unsung senior hero at Hoover High School who’ll make the world a healthier place!
Christian is committed to her desire to enter the healthcare industry as a doctor to give back to the community while serving those who lack access to healthcare services. She sees the matter of equal healthcare distribution. With her many roles in extracurricular activities, such as past AHHC class of 2025 Rep, current AHHC Secretary, and vice president of Cardinals Interact, her participation in clubs like YSG, AFS, and FACES for the Future, allows her the privilege to flourish her passion in being positively involved and impactful in her community. However Christian’s academics didn’t always come easy.
Her consistent hard work and studying directed her to dominate her classes over the years, including multiple AP and honor courses. When confronted with academic pressure, her loving and comforting parents motivate her to push her limits and reach higher to make them proud. Chrisitan always makes it through. She was born during the summer in Ethiopia on June 22, and she can be spotted on campus shining the light on others to get involved with the school through her positive spirit. While academics and extracurriculars are crucial, she’s well organized in balancing time for her interests and self-care.
In her alone time, Christian loves watching Netflix series, turning the pages of books, and dancing to the rhythm. She’s currently stuck on the K-drama Behind Your Touch. Dancing has been her thing since seventh grade, with a two-year break during the COVID-19 pandemic. She takes on her forever-exciting passions. Her friends would describe her as talented, inclusive, and an overall wonderful being who knows how to share a laugh.
“Hard work always pays off,” is what Christian strives for.
