Kenia Ortiz, Staff Writer
Kenia Ortiz is a sophomore at Hoover High School. She was born at the spookiest yet coziest time of the year, October 6th. Like the season she was born in, the cold, crisp weather fall brings is her favorite. Outside school, Kenia spends her days reading, listening to music, watching movies, and taking long walks. Once she falls in love with a book, she falls hard. She is currently interested in Concrete Roses by Angie Thomas. Her top five artists are, The Weeknd, Giveon, Montell Fish, Chase Shakur, and Brent Faiyaz. The movie Cars is her favorite ever. She dislikes slow walkers and loud talkers. Besides that, she's a tranquil and non-judgmental person.
Kenia's currently taking math, ASB, yearbook, and advanced English. She enjoys her independent time as an introvert but pushes herself to be more out there by being additionally involved with the school. This quiet soul is a part of Cardinals Interact, where they support their Cardinal family. She plans to join clubs soon, such as dance, cooking, gardening, and key club. She looks forward to creating her own performance art club.
Kenia hopes to have a successful future by graduating here at Hoover High School, as it is traditional in her family. Graduate, at least four years in college, preferably at SDSU. Getting a career in the photography industry is what she aims to achieve. Kenia's biggest motivation is to be the first of her siblings to attend and complete college for her mom, who didn't have the opportunity.
