Amy Munoz is a 15 year old sophomore student currently attending Hoover High School with hopes of going to cosmetology school.

Amy is involved in Hoover by being associated as a mariachi musician. She plays the vihuela and this school year will  be her second year being a part of the music realm. She claims that being a part of mariachi makes her feel at home and happy to create a beautiful sound alongside her peers. In addition, this school year she expresses that she is going to try extra hard to maintain good grades since last year was slightly rough for her. She strongly believes that anything is possible as long as you have ambition and determination. Also, she has plans to try out for the winter soccer season as she already has experience in the past with not only soccer but basketball as well.

Additionally, since she’s in mariachi, she is a part of the beautiful performances and concerts Hoover is able to perform and show other schools how wonderful the mariachi team is. On a more personal level, her life consists of taking care of her younger brother and looking after her dog and its puppies. Amy is not only a caring person in school but also in her everyday life. In the end, she is one of Hoover’s hidden superstars.
